World Data Center for Geoinformatics and Sustainable Development congratulates professor Dr. Krzysztof Ostrowski, Prorector for Foreign Affairs of Pultusk Academy of Humanities, with his election as President of the Local - Global Relations Committee of International Political Science Association.

Since 1990 he has coordinated the research work on local democracies in 31 countries of Europe, America and Asia, and, since 1996, acted as Secretary of the European Education Council of the Ministry of National Education and Sport. In the years 1997-2001 he was Vice-President and then President of the Committee for Higher Education and Research of the Council of Europe.
World Data Center has a long-lasting relationship with Professor Krzhystofom Ostrovsky and wish him long life and inspiration in his new post.
Also WDC congratulates our colleague Viktor Putrenko, candidate of geographical sciences, head of GIS Laboratory of WDC elected the secretary of Local - Global Relations Committee of International Political Science Association. We hope for successful work Viktor Putrenko in the commission and establishing closer cooperation between our organizations.
