Delegation of government officials, consisting of Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhii Shkarlet, Head of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine Yurii Shchyhol and his deputies Dmytro Makovsky, Oleksandr Potii and Volodymyr Trofimenko, visited Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute on January, 26.

The guests were received by the Rector of the University Michael Zgurovsky, the Chairman of the Academic Council Mykhailo Ilchenko, Vice-Rectors Yurii Yakymenko, Anatolii Melnychenko, Vitalii Pasichnyk, Acting Director of Ye. Paton IMSW Yurii Sydorenko, Director of the World Data Center for Geoinformatics and Sustainable Development Konstantyn Yefremov, Head of ISCIP Oleksandr Puchkov and others.

The meeting began with acquaintance of the guests with the activities of the Information and Analytical Situation Center. This activity is aimed at increasing the completeness and effectiveness of analytical and informational support of the management decision-making process to ensure sustainable development of individual regions and Ukraine as a whole as complex socio-economic systems. The structure of the Center and its main developments were presented. Among the developments are the assessment of the economic dimension of sustainable development of territories based on the brightness of night lights, monitoring of water resources in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (demonstration using an online application), capabilities of the online platform "Advanced Analytics" for analysis of socio-economic and security phenomena, etc.

The Minister of Digital Transformation was interested in how and where data for research are obtained, and noted that there is no culture of data collection in Ukraine, and this leads to an error in the results.

After the presentation, Mykhailo Fedorov said: "We are constantly looking for some tools, commercial tools, how to model certain situations, how to monitor the information space. I did not even know that there are already such developments at the university. I think we will find a case where to use because we have a real request for it. Let's work. "

Then the work continued in the meeting room of the Administrative Council of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, where the following blocks of issues were discussed: improving training in the field of information security, based on the possibilities of digitalization of educational processes; presentation and discussion of the KPI space program, etc.
