On April 24, 2014 in NTUU "KPI" the meeting of the Project Steering Committee "Laying the Foundation for a Spatial Data Infrastructure: Building Capacity within the Ukrainian Government to Support Sustainable Economic Growth" funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada (DFATD) and implemented by Vancouver Island University (VIU) and its partners in Ukraine: Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" was held. NTUU "KPI" is represented by World Data Center for Geoinformatics and Sustainable Development.

On April 2, 2014 at World Data Center for Geoinformatics and Sustainable Development (WDC-Ukraine) the meeting was held between the Rector of NTUU "KPI", scientific supervisor of WDC-Ukraine, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Academician of NAS of Ukraine M. Zgurovsky and the delegation of the State Scientific-Production Enterprise "Cartography" led by its Chief, Doctor of Geography - Rostyslav Sossa.

On October 23-25, 2013 the third scientific congress "Globalistics-2013", dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of V.I. Vernadsky, was held at the Lomonosov Moscow State University on the initiative of the Faculty of global processes. The Congress was attended by more than 700 scientists from 40 countries. At this Congress World Data Center for Geoinformatics and Sustainable Development was represented by Deputy Director of WDC-Ukraine, I.O. Pyshnohraiev and employee of the international scientific and educational projects laboratory, I.S. Popadenko.

Joint Russian-Ukrainian seminar “Formation of Global Geoinformatic area for solution of interdisciplinary tasks in sphere of Earth Sciences” took place at NTUU “KPI” on 19th-20th of December. Representatives of scientific and research organizations like Russian Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, World Data Center for Geoinformatics and Sustainable Development and NTUU “KPI” participated in the seminar.

Brazilian delegation visited World Data Center for Geoinformatics and Sustainable development on june 13-th, 2012. Delegation consisted of the ambassador of Brazilian Republic in Ukraine - Antonio Fernando Cruz de Mello and the rector of Fluminense Federal University at Rio de Janeiro - Roberto de Souza Salles.

Technical university of Berlin (TU Berlin) is a member of TU-9, which is a union of nine biggest technical universities of Germany.

The aim of the visit of Jörg Steinbach to Kiev is a discussion of future collaboration plans of TU Berlin with NTUU “KPI”.

Memorandum on collaboration between NTUU "KPI" and TU Berlin was signed as a result of the meeting. This memorandum contatins all main directions of future collaboration in scientific and educational spheres.

 Another election of actual members (academicians) and corresponding and foreign members of Russian Academy of Science (RAS) were held during December 19th-21st. Election process had few stages – at first committee of experts studied lists of candidates, then each candidate was discussed during the meeting of the department. Final decision on each candidate was made during joint RAS meeting.
